Spring 2009 Runway Report

I love wedding gowns and always have. There is something about mass amounts of beautiful fabric, delicately draped and sewn together to create the timeless, beautiful wedding dress. When I got married, I was a huge fan of Reem Acra. Although I still love her designs, my favorite continues to be Monique Lhuillier. She never ceased to amaze me with her gorgeous, ultra feminine gowns. After searching through Brides.com, this season there seems to be a lot of ruffles and gathering, as well as one shoulder gowns. The majority of the gowns I saw seemed to really look light and airy, as opposed to weighted down with a lot of heavy fabric, but then again, it is a Spring collection. Our of everything I saw, I have compiled pictures of my favorites. Who is your favorite gown designer?

Joan Shum. Melissa Sweet's gowns are gorgeous, too, especially for a vintage wedding.
