Beautiful Boutonnieres

Boutonnieres come in all shapes, sizes and colors. They are beautiful petite flower arrangements worn by the groom, groomsmen and immediate family members on the wedding day. Traditionally, a boutonniere was worn pushed through the buttonhole of a jacket, but in modern times is often pinned onto a jacket lapel. These little lovelies were frequently worn in the past, but now are typically reserved for special occasions.
A bridegroom will almost always wear a boutonniere on his left lapel. Did any of you know that? I sure didn't and it had me looking back through my own wedding pictures to make sure my husband had his boutonniere pinned on correctly! Below are some beautiful boutonnieres, all via The Knot.

Never thought about boutonnieres being so unusual as those shown. Usually we just do the ordinary.
