I am so excited to announce that Noaki Jewelry is sponsoring a giveaway here on Zenadia Design's blog! One lucky reader will win a $70.00 credit to Noaki's online shop. Good for one of her beautiful pieces of jewelry, or a custom made item!
If you are not familiar with Noaki's jewelry, you are in for a real treat. Each piece is handmade using heirloom quality vintage pieces which are recycled into beautiful works of art. We featured Noaki a while back here on our blog, and since then, she has added so many stunning pieces to her collection on etsy.
To enter the contest, all you have to do is leave a comment here and answer one, or both of the following questions:
1. What kind of wedding jewelry are you as a bride looking for to match your dress (Chandeliers, Tiny drops, Pearl necklaces, Bracelets, etc.)?
2. Any suggestions on how Noaki might better reach out to brides.
If you are not a bride, or are a past bride, answer the question(s) with your own advice. Maybe what kind of jewelry you look for for everyday wear. The contest will be open until Friday, August 29, at midnight. We will then draw a winner at random and announce the winner here on Zenadia Design's blog on Monday, September 1. Good luck!

As bride, I am looking for one great signature piece and plan to wear it in my hair instead of a veil. Everyday-I love a funky necklace.
As far as reaching out-the blog loop is pretty important. You never know when you next Bride will blog about you or post a design to Weddingbee. The Twigs and Honey blog does a great job of talking to customers
I think there are alot of us who have a few pieces of jewelery that we will want to wear for sentimental reasons, and are trying to find a necklace or earrings or hair adornment to match. A little flash of color and a little depth are kickers for me. The strapless trend can't last forever, and those of us with a non-strapless neckline are looking to have a necklace that accentuates it. (I'm and off the shoulder dress girl so I'm searching for a necklace with a V line.)
Best way to reach brides - exactly what you are doing. Get featured on as many bridal blogs as you can. Magazines are great, but they are always so expensive that many brides just skim without actually looking because we assume we can't afford it. EtsyWedding is a well stalked blog that could be great. Also, the handcrafted wedding blog, and Style Me Pretty.
EEK! I just started looking through your etsy store. You'll be featured on my blog in the near future. B-E-A-UTIFUL!
I'm looking for some delicate chandelier pearl earrings to match my mother's pearl necklace.
As for reaching more brides, I think blog outreach is very important. That's where I've gotten most of my information. You might try a giveaway on WeddingBee as well.
Hi!
Thank you all so much!! This is really helpful. I've been really wondering what brides would like to see more of in my etsy shop. And thank you so much Heidi -- this is fabulous!
Wow! Your stuff is great. I'm so glad I ran into you. I think I'll put you on my blog roll! In addition to the suggestions above, please make sure to make yourself known to Weddingbee (looks like they are on your blog roll) and Offbeat bride.
As for what I am looking for in wedding jewelery... We are having a *slightly* vintage inspired wedding. Don't tell anyone else, but we are learning how to jive swing dance to surprise our guests at our wedding.
My engagement ring is a light fancy yellow diamond, and so I'm looking for jewelery that plays off of that. We, in fact, picked our wedding colors to highlight the ring. We've gone with Lake Blue and champagne accents. Needless to say, I have my eye on a bracelet from your Etsy store!
Best of luck to you in your business endeavors!
Personally, I like the chandelier look, it gives more of a wow factor
I have been looking for the perfect jewelery for my wedding day, but really want to have a matching piece for my hair when I finally decide. As I've decided not to wear a necklace, I think some sparkling chandelier earrings and a thick sparkling bracelet would compliment my dress perfectly. And although I have a cathedral length veil for the ceremony, I want to replace it with an unforgettable jewel for my hair for the reception, which I can keep and wear throughout the years...
Blogging is a great way to reach out to brides - I know I have a slew of them bookmarked and check them religiously everyday. And Etsy is such a great resource for brides - everything one could possibly be looking for! Keep up the great work!
I'm looking for simple and elegant earrings like the "Sparkling drop earrings" featured.
I think perhaps a hair comb that could be incorporated with the veil would be a great item to appeal to brides.
1. I would love to have a beautiful necklace that is either all pearl or pearls with something sparkly integrated with the necklace. The earrings I would like to match and be chandelier, but not too overpowering. My hair will be down, so I want my earrings and necklace to be gorgeous pieces accenting my dress and me, especially since my dress has beautiful work on it that is both pearl-like and elegantly sparkly.
2. To reach out to us crazy busy brides, blogs and websites with plenty of details, examples, and options listed on them are resources that we find priceless! Great communication with the bridal population is important and having regular communications with them can do so much. My favorite websites and blogs are the ones that are updated often and have plenty of pictures and options for me to sort through.

I wore pearls... i'd wish i'd gone bigger and flashier for photos!
The sparkling flower bracelet is just beautiful... I WAS looking for pearls or delicate earrings (I have a ballgown style dress), but I just love the bracelet so much!
I think the best way to reach out to brides to be is doing these contests! They are SUCH a great way to get people to look at your jewelry! Also, wedding podcasts are becoming bigger.
1. i am looking for something elegant but not stuffy. much of what i've seen out there is either too casual, too eccentric, or too traditionally silver/diamond-y. i like the unstuffy but classic look - beads dropping in layers or something of that style.
2. a great way to get stuff known is to do giveaways like this. also, you can start your own blog if you don't already have one. i have seen other handmade artists do this with much success. best of luck!
love love love chandeliers...vintage inspired and recycled vintage items into new pieces! Your creations are gorgeous, keep doing what you are doing and try to get your name on other wedding blogs! happy wednesday...
1. I love both vintage jewels and the 'real-deal': diamonds in particular. I have to confess, I'm not an imminent bride-to-be (although I am in the midst of bridesmaid preparations!) When I do get married though, I think I would like to wear the diamond jewelry I already own, but I would love to have a statement vintage piece to make my look more unique. My current obsession are jeweled hairpieces. They look so delicious and there are so few opportunities to wear them outside of the red carpet and weddings! I've also found it very hard to find reasonably priced examples. I hadn't come across your shop before and when I skipped across to have a look, my breath was taken away. In fact, I couldn't bear the thought that I might not win the contest and that someone else might get your rhinestone leaf hairpiece, so I've just blown my budget and bought it on the spot!
2. I agree with the other comments made in relation to wedding blogs, but perhaps also consider that your gorgeous jewels will appeal to those of us who aren't planning a wedding just now - so relationships with any sort of design or fashion blogs will be great links to have.
Good luck with your store - you have a wonderful eye for the potential of vintage pieces!
the continuing trend of strapless dresses calls for bold necklaces and/or earrings to balance the bareness. though, i don't think your work is limited to brides... I'm always on the hunt for distinctive pieces that make a statement. i'm inspired by vintage glamor and love your aesthetic. while bridal is a niche market that continues to grow i think youd be well served to expand though connecting w local stylist in LA. in addition to the blogs.
1. I'm always on the lookout for something unique, fun, and wearable! For my wedding, I looked for sparkly crystal pieces that both complemented my gown and could be worn again and again later. Nothing that would only be classified as "bridal", which is why your pieces are so great.
2. Reaching out to brides - like everyone else has said, reach out to other wedding blogs and communicate your work! Your work is gorgeous!
As a bride, I'm definitely out for something that looks awesome as a necklace. I have a ton of hair, so things get lost in it, and I don't wear earrings. So, anything large and fanciful is great, especially with a large pendant. If not a large pendant, a simple choker, for I adore victorian styled chokers.
Earings seem to be really important in terms of wedding jewelry. Some people choose to wear a necklace and/or bracelet but they ALWAYS seem to wear earings. I guess unless the ears aren't pierced, but then clip-ons are an option, I digress... Anyway, elaborate, beatiful vintage-inspired earings are what I will wear since my dress is made of vintage slips refashioned. I also have a southern, vintage, mexican-inspired wedding so the earings would have to be very special.
For promotion, keep doing what you are doing. I refuse to buy wedding mags because the things in them are expensive and I can find just as much inspiration online in diy, vintage, real-world wedding blogs.
FYI - I'm posting my favorite pair on my little blog. :)
I am looking for a classic piece. I'm wearing some jewelry from my mom and grandmother, but I don't have anything yet for my hair. I really love vintage inspired looks.
As for reaching out to brides, continue to reach out to established wedding blogs. I found half my blogs I read and shop on through suggestions from Style me Pretty or Junebug. Best way to reach us.
Pearls are my brithstone and I collect them when ever I can so any jewelrym hair pieces, etc. I would love it to have pearls.
1. I'm still looking for a nice pair of drop earrings. I want them to be simple with a little sparkle!
2. A suggestion for Noaki could be to show some jewelry combinations for brides. Perhaps good pair-ups of earrings with necklaces, etc.
Good Luck everyone!
I'm looking to wear big chandelier style earrings for my wedding to go with my strapless dress. My dress has pinkish undertones, so I'd love to be able to work the pink color into my fabulous earrings.
I'm looking for some really great earrings since my dress has a halter top and I cannot wear a fabulous necklace. Probably either a drop style or chandelier.
Her work is so creative and beautiful - I love it! I'm always amazed by how many incredible Etsy shops I discover every single day through different blogs... it's a frightening addiction. :-)
1) I would love a bracelet with a clasp that's not too tight but doesn't slide around too much. Something with the colors in my dress (champagne, dark red, eggplant, and teal) would be great, with yellow gold.
2) All the posters above have suggested the same things I thought would be good - Weddingbee, Offbeat Bride, Elizabeth Anne Designs are all wonderful resources that brides read zealously!
1) I'm looking for a pendant or a locket type amulet, vintage in nature with a long chain.
2) Honestly these days the best press is through blogs, this contest alone is a reason for us to get to know you!
1. I'm having my hair down at my wedding, so simpler earrings, maybe pearls or something elegantly understated. However, if I was going to go all out on a piece of jewelry it would probably be a vintage inspired bracelet.
2. I think just being featured on other blogs - the list of your blog favorites is a great place to start!
I am looking for a unique necklace and earrings, something nontraditional but still elegant. Vintage looking, but no pearls. I do like the longer earrings, briolettes are nice too - along with a bold necklace.
Blogging is a great way, as well as other wedding online sites - such as Wedding Bee. Good Luck! Your items are beautiful!
I love the sparkling deco earrings...wow!
1. The kind of jewelery I am looking for has actually been a little harder than I originally thought. A lot of it has so many pearls. I think pearls as a small aspect of jewelery is pretty (which you offer!) but a lot of the other jewelery out there is too pearl-heavy for me.
2. Keep doing what you are doing! Keep up with bloggers and stay on Etsy! I love shopping around there!
For bridal jewelery, I'm always on the hunt for something sparkly and eye-catching, perhaps in chandelier form, but not so much the bridal look that is most popular. I like something with a little bit of colour, nothing really large, and definitely something I'll easily wear again.
Reaching out to the wedding world - blog, blog, blog! Giveaways really are a good way to get people to notice you. I'm a sucker for shiny ads...
i am looking for any jewelry that looks vintage yet refined. i'm not too specific on whether it's pearls or chandeliers, etc. a way to get brides more involved is to a. do things like this! but more seriously b. blog galore!
1. I'm looking for jewelery that isn't too cliche (things that haven't been worn by every bride before me), but that give a nod to traditional bridal jewelery. I love vintage jewelery -- art deco style especially.
2. The best way to reach brides like me is through giveaways that get publicized on wedding blogs. I ALWAYS take a look at vendors that offer giveaways. Also, I would suggest seeking as many links from wedding blogs as you can -- and posting sales on weddingbee.com's classified section -- there are a lot of brides that troll those classified for good deals.
When I was a bride I wanted something that was unique and classy, but not over-the-top. Something I could pass on to a daughter or neice one day.
As a bride, I got most of my advice from theknot.com, both by word-of-mouth in the chatrooms and also in their vendor listings.
I wore crystal earrings and an antique filigree bracelet, which I absolutely loved. It was my husband's grandmother's, and I had to give it back to his aunt the next day. Boo!
The Knot is an invaluable resource for brides, and so are craft and bridal shows. If I were designing jewelry I might try to hook up with a local designer who does bridal/bridesmaid gowns and dresses and try to have them showcase your work in their shop.
Besides the brooch that I am looking for to accent the dress itself, I am thinking chandeliers - yellow gold, black, purple, or some combination thereof!
To connect, I think it is important to keep blogging, be active in the wedding blogosphere by commenting and guest posting, and definitely be active in forums.
My dress is really simple but has a little bling to it. I'm looking for a necklace with this kind of character, simple, yet dramatic with some classic elements and a bit o'bling.
To reach out to brides in this economy I think it's helpful to present realistic weddings on a realistic budget, diy tips and just being open to answer questions. I can't afford a coordinator or a DOC so being able to email a professional with a question is a stress reliever. Even if it was once every week or once a month for a live chat.
I'm looking for a wonderful pair of drop earrings...something unique to bring my wedding day look together.
I'm an avid reader of blogs, so I think advertising and reaching out to readers through blogs is a great idea (ie. Weddingbee, etc).
Another possibility is to collaborate with other wedding vendors to put on a cocktail type networking event and invite brides-to-be. I've been to such events where designers and such would showcase their work. It's a great way to spread the word and have fun too! Hope that helps and good luck!
Noaki's work is beautiful! I would wear these for everyday things too, not just the wedding. Although, several of the pieces would look stunning with my simple cut but detailed wedding gown.
I am impressed to say the least.
1) My dress is light gold and beaded at the top so I'm looking for some ivory pearl and beaded earrings and perhaps a necklace with a backdrop.
2) I think contests such as this one or just general features on some of the more popular blogs are a great way to reach brides. Nearly all of the jewelry stores I've browsed have been linked to from weddingbee, snippet and ink, a practical wedding, etc. Good luck!
2. Well, having this contest is a start! I see other people mentioned blogging like Twigs and Honey, but I totally agree. She has developed quite a following. Just keep yourself visible on bridal blogs and forums and soon people will start posting on their own about how much they love your jewelry.
1. I'm having an evening wedding so I am looking for something that will sparkle but is more artistic and unusual. I rarely buy jewelry for myself, so this is my chance to buy something unexpected but timeless that I can wear again and again. Some of your bracelets have me drooling ...
The current trend in bridal wear is strapless dresses. Most dresses available in stores are, in fact, strapless. So it's hard to find many other options. My dress is strapless, and I want to keep my neckline open and simple. So I’m really looking for gorgeous earrings to add some extra glamour to my look. My hair will be pulled back, so the earrings will really be the one signature jewelry piece. I'm going for a classic, elegant look, that won't be overwhelming. I'd love a pier of earrings that will dress up my look with just the one piece. I think simple drop earrings will add just enough glitz to make a nice statement.
My advice on how to better reach out to brides is definitely through posts on blogs. My biggest source of inspiration and idea gathering has been blogs. Blogs tend to be full of real opinions from real brides. And there are SO MANY wedding blogs out these days! It's really incredible! I spend hours on the computer!
I also love the weddings category on Esty. It's a simple way to narrow down a search when browsing for accessories.
Definitely looking for some fab earrings. Easy way to look glam without going overboard.
I got your info about a month ago from Myra at Twigs and Honey.. keep those relationships near and dear to you! Brides will always ask reputable vendors for recommendations :)

I would want some simple earings and a statement bracelet.
My advice is to find ways to get your name out on all the blogs and websites. The online world has become the means for all brides to plan their wedding.
Wow, love your stuff. I need a fabulous chunky bracelet (which I might of just found on your website!!)or a hairpiece.
As for reaching out to brides, Blogging and give aways totally get me to check out new stuff, and I'd do a give away on weddingbee!!
Thank you soooo much everyone!!! I'm stunned at the response and can't even begin to tell you how helpful this is. So I'm hearing more chandeliers, Deco and chunky bracelets are good and more colors...! Did I miss anything? Really looking forward to working with whoever wins!
Classic vintage (chandelier - maybe?)earrings with a little spunk and a bracelet to fit my always-too-small-for-a-bracelet-wrist! No pearls, love pave. i would love to show you pics of our venue, my dress (when I actually purchase it), and of the different chadeliers MW (Mr. Wonderful) has given me that we are incorporating into the wedding - - and then you do your thing, you're the professional!
Opportunities to reach out to brides include doing guest blogging on various sites - whether on Style Trends, How-to's, or ideas for complete ensembles to show how you can punch it up with a fabulous color piece or ideas for the classic pieces. I came across you only b/c of the promotion listed on EAD - again, fabulous opp for "getting out there." The more creative advertising you do, the more you will stand out! Good Luck!
I'm definitely a tricky mix of traditional and yet want completely unique touches to my wedding. My jewelry has to reflect that. Chandeliers are pretty, but I'd much rather wear elegant drop earrings that are a new twist...with lots of bling! I'd also love to have a crazy big and beautiful sparkly bracelet, perhaps with touches of color.
How you can better reach out to brides, well you're doing a great job with word of mouth. The Knot is also a powerful tool. Also, why don't you contact some of the tv networks that have bridal shows and offer to showcase your pieces there? :) Magazines too!
1. as a former bride - I wish I would have spent more time looking for the perfect jewelery! I would definitely look for something elegant - unique and timeless... perhaps something to even become an heirloom
2. Linking up with a fantastic photographer who can keep samples of your fabulous work in their studio or who can borrow pieces for bridal shoots can go a long way... not only for the bride being photographed but for all those who follow the photographer's work as well.
